Guild Policies

Our Guild Mission:
We are a casual adult guild with a wide assortment of play styles. Our common bonds are Our willingness to help each other ,Fellowship,Honor, and Respect.

This document will detail a guideline that all of The Ancient Lords members are expected to follow and enforce. The key idea is for everyone to have fun, but without some rules in place we would be unable to maintain a clean, respectful and fun atmosphere for all.

MEMBERS

Age
The minimum age for members in the guild is 18.

Member and Leader Conduct - Forums, In game Chat, and TeamSpeak.
All members The Ancient Lords are expected to treat others as they wish to be treated. If a guild member is being abusive, discriminating or conduct unbecoming of a representative of The Ancient Lords, please report the offense to your Guild Leaders be sure to get a screen shot of the incident . Our guild will not tolerate flaming, excessive use of foul language, racism, or discrimination based on race, politics or religion. We are a mature group and need to act accordingly.

If you are found to be in violation of this code you will be given a warning and/or banned from the guild and all its assets

Exploitation
Exploitation of guild members or in-game players is not permitted. Begging for gold or items in any chat including Guild chat is strongly discouraged. Repeated violations will be grounds for disciplinary action.

We are an open guild who welcomes the opportunity to help out its own members and the World of Warcraft community.

Cheats and Hacks
The use of cheats, hacks, or 3rd Party programs not sanctioned by WoW is not permitted.

Guild Hopping
If you leave the guild once on good terms we will allow you back; however if you leave again it will require a Official Leader Committee approval to get a re-invite.

Participation
All guild members are encouraged to take an active participation within the guild. This includes in-game and website participation. If you like to solo then you are welcomed to do so, but we do like to hear from you from time to time.

Communication
This website, http://theancientlords.guildomatic.com, is our primary means of communicating with our members. It is the best (and in some cases only) place to ask questions, request events, sign up for events, report problems with other guild members via private message to a Leader, and provides us all with an email system to further facilitate communication. We do require website participation.

When sending an in-game communication, members may not be able to respond right away. They may be chatting with someone, fighting, away from their keyboard, etc. Please wait at least a few minutes before trying again. Don't repeatedly whisper because it may cause them to become distracted and lose focus, etc.

DO use the online status functions if you know you will be tied up for a while. This will help avoid confusion. Setting yourself to ‘AFK' (/afk)will still let you receive in-game whispers, and will give the sender an in-game message that you you are afk.

Do ask a question in Guild Chat, but do not keep repeating yourself. When you don’t get an answer it usually means that there is no one on who knows the answer. Many questions can be answered by the websites listed in " links " on our website. These are great resources!

Helping Others
All members are encouraged to help other players, whether in guild or not, whenever possible.

Group Play
When playing as a Group, and the intended objective changes during the course of the event, the Group as a whole should decide to continue or not. Please try to consider what will be most beneficial for all Group members. If a member wishes to leave they may do so without repercussions as long as they clearly state their intentions, if possible.

Remember to have fun, but please be considerate of your guild mates: follow the Group leader's directions, ask questions or make suggestions as politely as circumstances allow and take suggestions and criticisms from other Guild mates in a constructive manner. Finally, do not have fun at the expense of your other guild members by being purposefully over aggressive, or by purposely trying to make the group fail. Proof of such actions is grounds for disciplinary actions.

If you witness conduct unbecoming a member of the guild, please record a screen shot and report it to an Leader

LOOT

Please select "Need" on green bind-on-equip Weapons or Equipment.

Please Pass by clicking the "X" on all other drops these must be discussed by the group and random rolled (/roll)on.

Players can roll (/roll) ONLY on items that fit their Class, and regular group roll/current Spec.
(Example a tanking Feral druid can't roll against a Healer on heal gear or a rogue on damage gear)

In our groups/Raids once you win a boss loot you must pass to allow others to get a boss loot. If the item can not be used by another group/raid members and you need it you may have it rather than it getting DE'd or vendored as long as the other members in the group agree.

When rolling on a item we ask that you decide carefully if it is a upgrade and if it would be a bigger upgrade for your fellow guildee and if it is that you pass it on to your guildee in the spirit of the guild. This is not a requirement but please consider it before accepting a boss drop.

No recruit may roll against a member on a boss drop. If the drop is not needed by the other members in group/raid then the recruit may have it. This may be put aside for that particular group raid if a majority of the members of the group/raid agree via a vote using the ready check vote. Ready for yes not ready for no.

GUILD LEADERS

  • Leaders within the guild are expected to uphold the policy's and codes of the guild at all times. They must represent the best of The Ancient Lords when in public and lead by example for all other guild members to follow.
  • Leaders must take an active role in the position they support within the guild. Leaders who fail to contribute will be demoted to regular member status and a new leader will be elected process will be done by official Leadership committee vote.
  • Leaders should be helpful to members and take time to help instruct newer members on proper game play within the guild .
  • Leaders, when assisting lower level members on a instances/quests/goals, allow the members to lead and do the bulk of the Instance/quest/goal. Leaders should take a back seat on these types of events. This is the best way they can evolve/learn how to play the game for themselves.
  • Leader should take immediate action when a member is in violation of the Code of Conduct. A verbal warning can be issued to the member at the Leader's discretion.
  • If a member feels that a leader is failing to live up to any or all of this please tell another leader so that we may investigate and your name does not have to be mentioned.

GUILD LEADERS ELECTION PROCESS

  • A member who wishes to be Leader of the guild may only do so when a position is available. Once a position is available a posting will go out for members to apply.
  • Members must have been with the guild for a minimum of 90 days to be eligible for an Leader Role. Exceptions to the 90 day obligation can be made at the Guild Leadership committee's discretion.
  • If a member is applying for an open position and is in good standing then a vote will be determined by a voting process in the public forum.
  • All new leaders will undergo a 30 day probation period.
